Hello everyone, Boardington Bear here!
What a busy day it has been at St Francis’ College! The Boarding Team have been rushing around, getting everything ready to welcome all of our wonderful boarders back to the Boarding House, both familiar faces and those joining our boarding family for the very first time.
I have been keeping a very close eye on preparations, of course! There are rooms to prepare, corridors to check and lots of little jobs to finish before everyone arrives. I am so excited to show our new boarders around and welcome everyone back.
I’m really not sure where the summer holidays have gone! The Boarding House has definitely been far too quiet without you all. While I have enjoyed a little peace and quiet, I think I am ready for the hustle and bustle of school life again. Footsteps in the corridors, laughter coming from the common rooms, busy evenings, activities and everyone catching up after the summer.
To our returning boarders, welcome home! We can’t wait to hear all about your summer adventures and have you back as part of our boarding community.
And to our new boarders, please don’t be nervous. Starting somewhere new can feel a little scary, but you have totally got this! You won’t be expected to know everything straight away. There will be lots of people around to help you, answer your questions, show you where to go and make sure you begin to feel at home.
Most importantly, remember that Boardington Bear and the whole Boarding Team are here for you.
Before long, the Boarding House will be busy again, filled with suitcases, chatter, laughter, new friendships and probably someone asking what time dinner is!
